Okay, so the burning question is, why does a small business need a social media marketing agency? If this were 2010 that would be a great question. If you are still asking this question in 2017, then you are way behind the curve. Social media marketing has become a must. As audience trends change so rapidly, companies have to adapt just as fast. With social media, the company can communicate with its audience and leverage the input that their loyal customers are saying about their product or service and adjust accordingly.
Social media marketing companies offer a lot to a small business. The creative out side the box thinking and execution on the most advanced online marketing tactics are only a small part of why a marketing agency is an asset. To go into further detail, social media is an art. To get engagement there are many different ways one can get engagement. The most appropriate of ways is to create amazing VRIN content. VRIN is defined as V=value R=rarity
I= inimitable N= non substitute. The VRIN has to correspond with your business and by following the VRIN methodology you can present more engaging content.

To calculate a VRIN score your content and average them out score each segment out of 10. Anything that is below a 7 average, tweak or scrap the content until it is 7 or higher. The main reason we want to create VRIN content is because if we are using Facebook as our main platform, then non engaging content can really hurt your presence. Facebook is tricky, every time one posts content that does not get expected results in the eyes of Facebook rank of you. Then you will drop and Facebook will show less people your post. This becomes a problem, so to fix this problem we focus on VRIN content.
Lets go into more detail as to what V.R.I.N actually is:
Value

What value do you offer? How many people rely on you every day? Can people live without you or your services? These questions will help you understand your value.
An NBA player offers mass value because children everywhere idolize them, and adults support their team. This is why, when a celebrity dies so many people are heart broken. Bill Gates and Steve Jobs are examples of high value people.
Without them their companies wouldn’t have got off the ground and billions of people would have their lives effected. This is why Steve Jobs worked so hard before he died to build an Apple culture. This way Apple was able to function as before without him.
Rarity

As we mentioned in the introduction, how rare are you, your skills or your services? If what you do can also be performed by millions of people, then don’t expect riches.
This is a major problem in the modern era. We’re encouraged to get a good education, yet this solution is also the problem. If everyone is encouraged to do the same thing, then we’re all going to have the same skills.
A University education is no longer praised due to the ease of entry level. Anyone can get into university and anyone can achieve a good grade. This creates mass competition where qualifications begin to count for nothing.
If you want to be wealthy, find something that no one else, or very few people can do. This way, you’ll remain rare, allowing you to set your own high prices/rates.
Inimitable

This means, can someone copy you? Are your skills and talents a result of years and years of hard work and dedication? Or are they obtainable within a year? Someone who’s skills are extremely hard to copy will always be in demand.
Someone who’s skills are easy to copy however, will be paid a low salary. Take an actor who’s spent years mastering their craft, Leonardo DiCaprio is not an easy guy to replace. You could hardly go and get any 18 year old off the street to fill in for him for the day.
If your job requires a few weeks of training before you qualify, then you’re going to be earning a small amount. A few years of training, then you’ll probably reach 6 figures. A decade or two of mastering your art and you’re probably going to be in the higher end of earners.
Non-substitutional

How quickly and easily can you be replaced? A McDonald’s worker can be swapped out that same day after a quick phone call. An NBA player can only be replaced by other NBA players at certain points in the year when their contracts run out. This is a far rarer circumstance, which explains why NBA players get paid so much.
Being non-substitutional basically means being in demand. When you’re non-substitutional you can decide the terms. This could be the best player in a team, the best sales person at a company, or even a detective with a track record for solving difficult cases.
Just look at the OJ Simpson trial. There’s probably only a handful of people who could’ve won the case, hence why OJ’s team were called the dream team. I can guarantee that every person involved suddenly saw their stock rise after that case, with millionaires and billionaires looking to hire them with huge fees being thrown their way. Once people realize you’re their only option, it’s very hard to not cough up the cash.
Now to get Facebook really loving you and ranking you higher. You must get your audience to interact with your content. The easiest ways of doing this is to hold contests and hyper drive your engagement. If you don't want to do contest, then you can always run a Facebook dark post or engagement objective ad to increase your engagement in the post. As the engagement increases Facebook will begin to show your posts to more people organically.
So as of now we know that Facebook doesn't show our posts to many people that's why our organic reach is so low. We can run a contest, or pay for an ad. Let say that you hired a social media marketing agency, they will already have the knowledge that is necessary to dominate rather then experiment with the advertising budget you may have and learning from the mistakes you make. Trust me you will waste a lot of money learning this just like we did. Although with all the money spent there was a lot of experimentation that helped us figure out our secret formula when deploying ads. Social media marketing companies help save you money and also help save you time. Time is the killer, we want you to be spending your time with what you are good at, and that is running your business. Let a marketing agency focus on the tricky stuff.

Still not convinced? As we are not a few months into the new year of 2017 we are noticing a trend.Websites are becoming more and more obsolete. Sure a website is still necessary. As Facebook offers a shop function and it being the first point of contact with potential customers we notice that it is dominating still and not slowing down. To add to this when you do a key word search both YouTube and Facebook usually show up first depending on the strength of your SEO setup. This is also further evidence of the fact that Social is the most effective way to get attention for your company. Gary Vaynerchuk an amazing marketer once put it this way on a podcast that I was listening to and this stuck. He mentioned that years ago the main platform that companies strived for was television. Television was the "Shit" because ABC, NBC, MTV and all these news channels had millions of people watching at all hours of the day. Now what if I told you that Facebook was ABC, Instagram, NBC, and Snapchat MTV. They have millions of people on the platform at all hours of the day,and is insanely inexpensive to market on at the moment. But why do we not adapt and sink all of our budget into these platforms. Could it be fear, maybe just insecurities. What ever the emotion we as business owners need to get over it and start taking risks.
Sure the economy is hurting but not the point. If you are willing to take the risk on a new media platform and become the pioneer of a new platform then a social media marketing agency is a must. There is no point wasting your time compounding your risk and strengthening all the negative emotions that come with risk. The Social Media Agency will take your hand and guide you trough the storm and relieve you of all those fears and insecurities and get you seeing the light and making more money then you ever though in such a down economy. Remember we call them buyers because people love to buy but not be sold.
