Social Media, that's stupid, no one needs social media to grow their business!
This tends to be the response that we get from a majority of small business owners. This is exactly what everyone said about the internet and e commerce. That is fine you are welcome to your opinion. People often ask me "what do you do when they say that social media does't matter?" This is an easy answer, I do nothing.
See I have spent the majority of my life in sales and I had spent a majority of my time learning how to persuade and convince people that the product I was selling was the right product or service that will solve their problem. Now I learned something through this experience. There are a lot of people in the world and the amount of energy I had spent convincing people that the product or service was right, could had been spent on finding customers whom had interest in me already.
This comes from a "Hot girl mentality" a hot girl doesn't go out looking for guys. They show up and attract the guys all by just being them. This is exactly how I approach business and sales. Abundance mind set is the key to this structure. If you believe that you are worth what you believe you are worth then do not settle. Just like the hot girl, surround yourself with people who are interested in you and you will be all set.
Another analogy to help explain, look at yourself as a gold miner at the shoreline sifting for gold. Gold being the object of value, so for instance a customer. We know that there is gold in this market so we are going to sift the water to find the gold. We do not argue with the water and try and convince ourselves that it is gold. We sift through the water as fast as we can to be as efficient as we can when looking for the golden nuggets.
So by surrounding yourself with people who are interested already in your product or service and not wasting any time on the ones who are still needing to be convinced, you will have new and more satisfied customers. How does social media tie into all this. Very easily, social media is the catalyst to helping you sift through your water to find your gold and to surround yourself with more interested customers. By leveraging social media and advertisements via Facebook, you can target the exact audience that would buy your product.
Lets looks at Facebook for a moment. Facebook pages are where you have the opportunity to filter out your customers that would be interested in your product or service as they have liked your page. The objective now is to offer value to the individuals whom have liked your page to gain access to their email and provide them loyal offerings such as discounts or freebies. By gathering emails from your potential clients, it will surely increase your customer count and sales.
Ads are different and more aggressive but gain the most result. Facebook allows you to target individuals based on interests, employment, which device they are on and so much more. This opportunity allows us to unleash dark posts. Dark posts are non published advertisements that float in the back end of Facebook and are positioned in front of your target audience. Dark posts allow you to scale ads and fine tune for the best cost per view, click or impression. The amount of people that will see your ad using Facebook as your advertising platform will be massive.
In conclusion social media is very important in 2017 and is something that every business should be striving to be efficient in. Without social media you will no longer exist with the amount of attention grabbing marketing is on the internet. Do not lose out on he opportunity to get your social media on track and really start dominating your industry.
